Mom Central Founder & CEO Stacy Debroff Named Squidsoap Parenting Expert
September 10, 2007

Nationally televised parenting expert and best-selling author lends a hand to help teach kids the importance of proper hand washing

Bonita Springs, Fla. – Best-selling author and parenting expert Stacy DeBroff has come onboard with SquidSoap by Airborne® to help spread the word about proper hand washing and healthy kids.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report hand washing is one of the most important things children can do to help stay healthy. The CDC research reveals it's best to wash your hands by vigorously scrubbing with soap and running water for about 20 seconds. For more information on hand-washing benefits, visit cdc.gov.

"I'm excited about the SquidSoap brand," says DeBroff, who is the founder and CEO of Mom Central, momcentral.com. "Hand washing is a critical skill for kids to learn to do right – and a quick rinse doesn't count! This becomes particularly important for parents as kids head back to school. SquidSoap makes washing hands incredibly fun and effective."

SquidSoap, with its patented technology, has been designed with kids in mind. It's the only liquid-soap dispenser with a specially designed pump that stamps a child's hand with vegetable dye. It takes about 20 seconds of thorough hand washing to remove the small ink mark, leaving the child with clean hands. In this way, SquidSoap teaches and trains proper hand washing technique to children.

"We're thrilled Stacy has joined the SquidSoap team as our parenting expert to share with moms just how important it is for kids to wash their hands regularly and thoroughly," says Elise Donahue, CEO of Airborne, Inc.

DeBroff, a national speaker and consultant, is president and founder of Mom Central, Inc., a company committed to helping busy families balance their lives by providing practical and time-trimming tips and tricks. The new spokesperson is also the mom of two – 14-year-old Kyle and 13-year-old Brooks – and she believes healthy habits and healthy kids go hand-in-hand.

DeBroff has written several best-selling books on household and family organization, including The Mom Book Goes to School, The Mom Book: 4,278 Tips for Moms, Sign Me Up!
